Learn moreVinyl siding
Cost-effective, low-maintenance exterior renewal with clean installation lines — a strong value choice for homes and multi-unit properties.
Overview
Vinyl remains the most popular residential siding in Ontario for good reason: it delivers a clean, refreshed exterior at a lower cost than fibre cement or metal, with very little ongoing maintenance. Modern vinyl profiles have come a long way — deeper shadow lines, richer colours, and board-and-batten and shake options that read far better than older generations.
Where vinyl succeeds or fails is installation. Panels need room to expand and contract through Ontario's freeze–thaw swings, fasteners can't be driven tight, and trim and transitions have to be planned before the first course goes up. Fanatech treats those details as part of the craft, not an afterthought.
Benefits
Ideal for: Maintenance-driven refreshes, rental and multi-unit properties, and homeowners who want a strong-value exterior upgrade without a premium-material budget.
FAQ
Quality vinyl, properly installed, typically performs for 20–40 years in Ontario. Correct fastening and expansion allowance are what keep it from warping or rattling over time.
Yes, provided it's installed to allow for thermal movement. We fasten and detail vinyl specifically for freeze–thaw cycles so panels stay flat and secure through the seasons.
Often, yes — individual courses can be replaced. Colour matching on older siding can be a limitation, which we'll assess before recommending repair versus a fuller replacement.
